About the role#
RCLCO Fund Advisors (RFA) is the investment management arm of RCLCO. We provide advisory services to institutional investors such as pension funds and sovereign wealth funds. This 10-week summer internship offers direct exposure to real estate investment strategy and portfolio management. Interns work alongside analysts and associates on live transactions and institutional client projects.
What you'll do#
- Conduct primary and secondary research on economic, demographic, and real estate market trends.
- Support underwriting on new investments by building financial models, analyzing cash flow, and preparing waterfall structures.
- Research potential investment opportunities across operating companies, separate accounts, joint ventures, and funds.
- Evaluate existing assets through performance reporting, hold/sell analyses, compliance reviews, budget reviews, and restructuring analyses.
- Prepare reports and presentations for Investment Committee members and institutional clients.
- Complete a CapStone Project evaluating an investment opportunity and constructing a business plan for a potential acquisition.
What you'll need#
- Rising senior status pursuing a degree in economics, finance, real estate, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong academic record.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Sharp problem-solving instincts and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong research skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Professional, self-starting attitude.
- Genuine interest in building a long-term career in Los Angeles or Denver.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, 10-week paid internship for Summer 2027.
- Compensation is $5,800 per month.
- The role is based in Los Angeles, California.
- Work modality is hybrid, requiring 4 days per week in the office with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
