About the role#
RBC Bearings is seeking Engineering and Product Management Co-Ops to support our operations in Simpsonville, South Carolina. This is a paid, full-time, on-site opportunity available for Summer 2026, Fall 2027, and Winter 2027 terms. You will work directly with engineering teams to gain hands-on experience in the aviation and aerospace component manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Build product knowledge through hands-on training and site visits to manufacturing facilities.
- Assist with product development projects across all product groups.
- Provide support for product selection and installation while developing solutions for customer issues.
- Collaborate with engineers and application engineers on performance-related projects.
- Participate in Lean continuous improvement initiatives focused on product design and engineering processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering at an accredited U.S. university.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SolidWorks.
- Strong analytical skills, including root cause analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing departmental needs.
- Ability to lift and pull up to 50 pounds, speak to small groups, and travel for meetings or customer visits.
