Engineering/Product Management Co-Op

About the role#

RBC Bearings is seeking Engineering and Product Management Co-Ops to support our operations in Simpsonville, South Carolina. This is a paid, full-time, on-site opportunity available for Summer 2026, Fall 2027, and Winter 2027 terms. You will work directly with engineering teams to gain hands-on experience in the aviation and aerospace component manufacturing industry.

What you'll do#

• Build product knowledge through hands-on training and site visits to manufacturing facilities.
• Assist with product development projects across all product groups.
• Provide support for product selection and installation while developing solutions for customer issues.
• Collaborate with engineers and application engineers on performance-related projects.
• Participate in Lean continuous improvement initiatives focused on product design and engineering processes.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering at an accredited U.S. university.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SolidWorks.
• Strong analytical skills, including root cause analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing departmental needs.
• Ability to lift and pull up to 50 pounds, speak to small groups, and travel for meetings or customer visits.
