Job Summary: The Intern Engineering position provides an opportunity to gain practical industry experience, acquire foundational knowledge, and develop technical skills under the guidance of experienced professionals. Interns apply established techniques and procedures to assigned tasks and assist Engineers with routine technical work that does not require prior professional experience. Interns may have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of engineering disciplines, including Track/Rail Design, Traffic & Civil Engineering, Bridge & Structures, Project Controls, Project Management, and Construction Management. Specific assignments and areas of focus may vary based on business needs, project requirements, and the intern’s interests and qualifications. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assist engineers in performing work assignments Proficient with electronic communications including email and text as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite) Advanced oral and written communication skills Lead project meetings and makes presentations Represent the organization and maintain liaison with individuals and related organizations This position may require travel.
