About the role#
Ragle Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic Intern for Summer 2027. You will join our Equipment Division for a 10-week program focused on maintaining and repairing heavy construction machinery. Throughout the internship, you will work alongside an assigned mechanic mentor to gain technical training and hands-on experience in both shop and field environments. This role is designed to build your skills and provide exposure to potential future career paths within our company.
What you'll do#
- Assist with preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Gain hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Support mechanics with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs.
- Learn proper shop safety procedures and professional tool use.
- Assist with equipment servicing and component replacement.
- Document fleet maintenance tasks.
- Gain exposure to shop and field mechanic operations.
- Work alongside an assigned mechanic mentor.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Diesel Technology, Diesel Technology: Field Maintenance, Diesel Technology: Equipment Management, or a closely related program.
- A strong interest in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Dependability and a strong work ethic.
- A coachable, team-oriented, and safety-minded approach.
- Ability to perform hands-on work in both shop and field settings.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for the full 10-week internship.
- Previous mechanical experience is a plus.

- Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
