About the role#
As a Quantitative Technologist Intern, you will work on live trading systems and research infrastructure. You will contribute to alpha generation through technology innovation and push production-level code. This role involves working on machine learning research and simulation infrastructure to analyze petabytes of data. You will complete projects that add value to the firm while identifying inefficiencies and proposing improvements.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain research infrastructure.
- Evolve fully-automated trading strategies and alpha generation processes.
- Push production-level code daily.
- Analyze large datasets to support machine learning research.
- Own significant processes and propose iterations to improve existing systems.
What you'll need#
- Experience with low-level languages, specifically C or C++.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithmic complexities, and numerical algorithms.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and communication.
- Experience working with large code bases.
- Ability to deliver and deploy software in production environments.
- A persistent drive to improve and creative problem-solving skills.
- A team-oriented mindset and mental flexibility.
- An orientation for making money by focusing on high-upside projects.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
