About the role#
As a Computer Science Intern at Rackner, you will work with experienced engineers on software projects. You will focus on automating business processes and conducting research for DevSecOps tools. This role provides real-world experience in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the R&D team to design, develop, and implement software solutions and algorithms.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and industry trends to support project development.
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging software issues.
- Participate in coding, testing, and documentation of software components.
- Analyze and interpret data to generate insights and support decision-making.
- Work on cross-functional projects and contribute to team discussions.
- Learn and apply computer science principles to solve complex problems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar.
- Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and software development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in an evolving tech environment.
- Passion for technology and a desire to contribute to innovative projects.
- Ability to prove HUBZone occupancy in the current year.
Location & details#
- Location: College Park, Maryland.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (more than 51% of the time in office).
- Schedule: 10 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week in the summer.
- Term: Rolling.
- Employment: Full-time, paid position.
