Manufacturing Engineering Co-op / Intern

About the role#

QuEra Computing Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op to support the production and documentation of our hardware. This position focuses on the foundational processes required to bring designs to life, working closely with engineering teams and contract manufacturing partners. This is a documentation-intensive role that requires high precision and attention to detail.

What you'll do#

• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product structures for existing modules and assemblies.
• Author clear, accurate assembly procedures for use by contract manufacturing partners based on product samples and existing documentation.
• Manage the technology transfer of new and existing designs to contract manufacturers.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, optical, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure outsourcing production requirements are met.
• Support cross-functional teams with documentation-intensive processes.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree program in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Prior co-op or internship experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with product structures and BOM management.
• Proficiency with CAD software, with SolidWorks strongly preferred.
• Experience with PDM/PLM software (such as SolidWorks PDM, Agile, Arena, Omnify, or Aras) is a plus.
• Highly organized with strong written communication skills.
