About the role#
As a Data Science Intern, you will join an interdisciplinary team to work on a substantive project. Your work will connect directly to our ongoing research and production systems. You will collaborate daily with full-time colleagues, including scientists and engineers who provide mentorship throughout the program. Projects vary in focus, ranging from research-heavy tasks to applied engineering.
What you'll do#
- Tackle problems the team is actively solving.
- Contribute to systems built for our customers.
- Develop methods for AI-driven hypothesis generation or interpretable feature discovery.
- Quantify uncertainty in multimodal pricing models.
- Build agents that convert unstructured product data into reliable signals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program.
- Strong foundations in mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience programming in Python and working with data.
- Coursework, research, or project experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, econometrics, causal inference, experimental design, or software engineering.
- Research experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
- Locations include Boston, Massachusetts and San Francisco, California.
- We accept applications on a rolling basis for summer and off-cycle periods.
