About the role#
Providence Infrastructure Consultants hires students for engineering internships focused on water and wastewater treatment projects. You will work on pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities. This role provides hands-on design experience and exposure to the full project lifecycle. You will receive weekly mentoring from a senior engineer and have the opportunity to earn education credits toward your degree.
What you'll do#
- Collect planning and design data for active projects.
- Perform project design calculations.
- Support the development of technical specifications and drawings.
- Write reports and memorandums.
- Attend design and construction meetings.
- Observe construction sites and tour completed water and wastewater facilities.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior status in an accredited 4-year Bachelor’s degree program.
- Enrollment in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
- Ability to work on a full-time or part-time basis for 3 to 6 months.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
