About the role#
The IT Internship Program is an 8-week, full-time summer opportunity based in Birmingham, Alabama. You will work on an active delivery team, gaining hands-on experience with real projects throughout the software development lifecycle. The program includes personal mentoring and opportunities to work alongside business leaders to solve technical challenges.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to software quality by testing, troubleshooting, and creating documentation.
- Identify and build automation solutions to improve manual business processes.
- Use AI-powered tools to support daily engineering tasks and productivity.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies like stand-ups, planning, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with your team to deliver technical and business-focused solutions.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student as of May 31, 2027.
- Preference for students entering their Junior or Senior year of undergraduate study.
- A major in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Cyber Security, Data Science, or a related field.
