About the role#
PROCON is looking for an IT Intern to join our team. This position is for individuals starting their IT careers who want to gain hands-on experience. You will work with our IT staff to support daily technical operations. This role covers desktop support, hardware deployment, and security practices across the company.
What you'll do#
- Respond to help desk tickets and basic technical support requests.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues under supervision.
- Support desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Set up and configure new user workstations and equipment.
- Provide friendly, professional service to employees in all departments.
- Install and configure computers and peripherals.
- Support software updates and routine system checks.
- Maintain the inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
- Help with hardware refreshes, system upgrades, and technology rollouts.
- Document IT processes and troubleshooting steps.
- Follow security policies and assist with patching and antivirus monitoring.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team members.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently finished a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong interest in building technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
- High integrity and sound ethical judgment.
- Familiarity with Windows, basic networking, or IT certifications is a plus.
- Previous customer service experience is helpful.

- This role is located in Hooksett, New Hampshire.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
- The position follows a rolling schedule.
