About the role#
This position is for students and recent graduates of Warren Tech who want to start a career in aerospace manufacturing. You will work in a hands-on production environment, learning from experienced machinists and manufacturing professionals. This role is designed to build your technical skills in CNC machining and prepare you for a long-term career in the industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the operation of CNC mills and lathes.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Use precision measuring equipment like calipers and micrometers.
- Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances.
- Perform basic part inspections to verify work meets specifications.
- Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Gain exposure to advanced CNC equipment and aerospace manufacturing processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Warren Tech machining, manufacturing, or related technical program.
- An interest in CNC machining, manufacturing, engineering, or aerospace.
- Basic knowledge of machining concepts and shop safety.
- Comfort using basic hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
- A willingness to learn and receive hands-on training.
- Dependability, a safety-conscious mindset, and attention to detail.
- An interest in solving problems and building a career in advanced manufacturing.
