About the role#
As a Student Respiratory Therapist, you work under the direction of a Respiratory Care Professional. You help provide respiratory care to patients on a limited basis. This role requires you to maintain compliance with Ohio Respiratory Care Laws and follow all system policies. You will demonstrate professionalism and support excellence in respiratory care practice.
What you'll do#
- Provide respiratory care to patients within your scope of practice.
- Perform clinical procedures for which your school has verified your initial competency.
- Complete hospital-led competency verification during your orientation.
- Follow institutional and system policies during your shifts.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Active enrollment and good standing in a Respiratory Care Program.
- A Limited Permit to perform Respiratory Care issued by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
- A copy of the Ohio Respiratory Care Board Verification of Education Form filed by your program director.
- Current BLS Certification.
