About the role#
This paid summer internship offers nursing students a chance to experience the day-to-day work of a Registered Nurse. You will work alongside a licensed professional to build clinical skills and gain confidence in a hospital setting. The program helps you explore different areas of practice to see what fits your career goals.
What you'll do#
- Shadow a licensed professional to learn clinical skills and departmental routines.
- Provide direct and indirect patient care across all phases of treatment, from prevention to follow-up.
- Communicate with and support patients while following established care protocols.
- Assist with daily department activities.
- Follow the schedule of your assigned preceptor, which may include various shifts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
- Completion of junior-level clinical requirements.
- An expected graduation date in Fall 2027, Winter 2027, Spring 2028, or Summer 2028.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Required documents: resume, unofficial transcript, two letters of recommendation, and a goal statement.
