About the role#
This is a paid, part-time Graphic Design internship based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. You will work directly with customers to create designs and manage file preparation, layout, and production. This role involves balancing creative work with center operations and customer service.
What you'll do#
- Create promotional materials like banners, newsletters, flyers, signs, posters, and business cards.
- Manage the output, workflow, and production of customer orders.
- Consult with customers to understand their graphic design needs.
- Assist customers with using design applications on center computers.
- Train other center personnel on how to use design applications.
- Help customers with general center services and assist with sales transactions.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or design certificate preferred).
- Professional design portfolio.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, presentation software, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Strong background with Windows operating systems.
- Ability to translate customer requirements into final products.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Web design, EFI Fiery, EFI Fiery Impose, bulk mailing software, and computer hardware/software troubleshooting.

- Compensation: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour.
- Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, lifting at least 50 pounds, and communicating clearly with customers in person, by phone, and by email.
