About the role#
We are looking for a Fire Protection Engineering Intern or Co-Op to join our professional design team. You will work directly with fire protection engineers to support various projects across industrial, Department of Defense, and commercial sectors. This position provides hands-on experience as you move from concept planning through to construction documentation.
What you'll do#
- Support fire protection engineers with ongoing project tasks.
- Learn about fire protection building systems using BIM software.
- Use Revit and AutoCAD to visualize building designs in three dimensions.
- Gain practical experience in how building components interact.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited university.
- Progress toward a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering.
- Completion of at least 2 years of coursework.
- A strong interest in fire protection design.
- Creative, adaptive, and flexible approach to work.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is highly preferred.
- Prior internship or related experience is highly considered.
