About the role#
Plot is building an AI-native platform to help brands understand culture and consumer trends. As a Co-op in Applied AI, you will join a small team to build agentic, reasoning-driven systems. This role is focused on building high-leverage systems on top of existing models rather than training foundation models from scratch. You will work directly with founders and product designers to ship features from the initial concept to the final user experience.
What you'll do#
- Build reasoning-driven systems using LLMs to power marketing automation and consumer intelligence.
- Collaborate with product design to prototype and ship features, including participating in whiteboarding sessions and user interviews.
- Design and execute evaluation frameworks, ranging from offline benchmarks to live A/B tests, to measure quality and business impact.
- Own full-stack AI features, covering everything from prompt design and orchestration to monitoring and UX.
- Research and integrate emerging methods in agentic reasoning, context engineering, and automation.
- Work closely with marketing and customers to ensure our AI delivers clear value.
What you'll need#
- A track record of shipping customer-facing products.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering, tool use, and agentic workflows.
- Ability to move quickly across the entire stack, including frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
- Strong product sense and design instinct, with the ability to act as an engineer, product thinker, and user advocate.
- A high ownership mindset, including a willingness to talk to users, debug data, and perform the unglamorous work required to build great products.
- Curiosity, grit, and a drive to build effective systems.
- Majors in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
