About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at Plix, you will work directly with our founding team. You will help architect, build, and deploy our intelligent body camera technology. This role requires comfort with experimentation and the ability to turn concepts into functional software.
What you'll do#
- Iterate on the design and implementation of development processes for our SaaS and Machine Learning infrastructure.
- Debug, improve, and optimize our existing software and infrastructure for reliability and performance.
- Help define and maintain internal engineering standards.
- Keep up with new technologies and AI research to update our infrastructure as needed.
What you'll need#
- Exceptional programming skills in Python.
- Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to turn vision into running software.
- A record of working hard and being a trustworthy teammate.
- Familiarity with handling secure or private customer data, particularly video.
- Experience with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV and FFmpeg.
- Experience deploying GPU backend systems and infrastructure.
- Experience managing TensorFlow or Torch models at scale.
- Advanced machine learning knowledge, specifically regarding large language models.
- Prior management experience or an interest in growing into a leadership role.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
