About the role#
The Data Analytics Intern joins the Finance and Business Systems team to support the transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. This role focuses on translating raw business data into actionable insights, providing hands-on experience with enterprise reporting tools and financial data management.
What you'll do#
- Support D365 Finance & Operations migration efforts, including data validation, mapping legacy data, and testing during the rollout.
- Build and maintain recurring financial and operational reports, such as month-end summaries and order, shipment, and backlog tracking.
- Design and maintain Power BI dashboards, including data modeling and dataset refreshes.
- Create and refine Excel-based reports, templates, and lightweight automation to improve recurring analysis.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Assist the team with ad hoc analysis and special projects for finance and leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (UTC student preferred).
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data cleanup.
- Strong analytical mindset and high attention to detail.
- Exposure to Power BI or other data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, or database concepts.
- Ability to work independently and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
