About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern at our Towanda facility, you will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers, maintenance teams, and operations staff to support power systems and facility improvements. This role offers the chance to own a meaningful engineering project from start to finish while learning about industrial electrical standards.
What you'll do#
- Complete at least one plant engineering project with mentorship from experienced staff.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
- Assist with engineering calculations, equipment specifications, and system design.
- Evaluate and justify electrical component selections based on technical and cost requirements.
- Coordinate daily with contractors on electrical construction and facility projects.
- Learn and apply plant engineering standards and best practices.
- Interpret and apply National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements.
- Gain experience with PLC, HMI, and industrial network configuration and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with teams to improve equipment reliability and system performance.
- Participate in industrial safety practices, including LOTO and arc flash awareness.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Interest in power systems, industrial design, automation, and manufacturing operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database applications.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with NEC, OSHA, PLCs, and HMIs is a plus.

- Location: Towanda, Pennsylvania.
- Term: Summer 2027 (3 to 6 month assignment).
- Work Modality: On-site.
