NYC Internship Fall 2026

About the role#

Place Showroom is seeking interns for the Fall 2026 term to work on-site in New York City. This program provides insight into the apparel and fashion industry, allowing participants to work alongside Showroom Coordinators and Account Executives. This is an unpaid internship for students who must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and receive academic credit for their participation.

What you'll do#

• Monitor and track sample inventory, including unpacking, steaming, and merchandising collections.
• Assist with market preparation, including booking and confirming appointments for market weeks and trade shows.
• Maintain showroom appearance before, during, and after appointments.
• Participate in showroom appointments, assisting sales representatives with note-taking and order maintenance.
• Learn and utilize industry software including Showroom Exchange, NuOrder, and Joor to manage line sheets and buyer orders.
• Track sales data using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
• Coordinate the shipment of samples to buyers and sales representatives.
• Perform daily administrative tasks, such as filing, organization, and ordering supplies.
• Assist with trade show booth setup and breakdown.
