Place Showroom offers an internship program designed to provide students with industry experience and insight into the fashion business. Interns will work alongside Showroom Coordinators and Account Executives, gaining exposure to showroom operations, brand management, and sales support. This role requires a professional, motivated individual eager to learn the operational side of the fashion industry.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and track sample inventory and coordinate sample shipments to buyers and sales representatives.
- Assist with market preparation by booking and confirming appointments for market weeks and trade shows.
- Maintain showroom appearance, including unpacking, steaming, and merchandising collections to ensure proper presentation.
- Participate in showroom appointments, assisting Sales Reps with order entry, note-taking, and database management using platforms such as Showroom Exchange, NuOrder, and Joor.
- Support daily administrative tasks, including organization, filing, supply ordering, and tracking sales data via Excel.
- Assist with fashion trade show booth setup and breakdown.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university with the ability to receive course credit for the internship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify tasks and take initiative.
- Majors in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications are preferred.
