About the role#
The Lead Student Pastor at the Oxford campus oversees the spiritual development of the Student Ministry. You will guide the staff team and servant leaders to bring the church vision to life. This role focuses on training students to share the gospel in their schools and homes while supporting the overall direction of the campus.
What you'll do#
- Lead and shepherd the Student Ministry staff team.
- Execute the mission and vision of the campus as it relates to students.
- Coordinate and adapt curriculum, events, and worship.
- Collaborate on a strategic plan to build relationships at area schools.
- Schedule a consistent presence for the ministry on local campuses.
- Develop servant leaders and staff to multiply disciples.
- Create a discipleship plan for parents.
- Support the assimilation of students and families into the church.
- Provide leadership for the Our House Promise strategy.
- Supervise both exempt and non-exempt personnel.
- Participate in all three branches of student ministry through teaching.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Three to five years of related experience or training.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse groups.
- Clear communication skills for in-person, phone, and email interactions.
- Ability to read and interpret complex policies and documents.
- Proficiency with Mac and Windows operating systems.
- Basic mathematical skills, including bookkeeping and budget monitoring.
- Ability to read financial spreadsheets.
- Skill in planning multiple tasks and projecting outcomes.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
