Master's Level Intern – SUD Case Manager 2 (2026–2027 Academic Year)

About the role#

The Master's Level Intern – SUD Case Manager 2 position is part of a one-year internship program for the 2026–2027 academic year. This role provides students with structured, supervised clinical experience, allowing interns to progress from observation to increased clinical independence within an interdisciplinary team.

What you'll do#

• Assess and prioritize client treatment needs, including discharge planning.
• Implement plans of care and collaborate with the clinical team to ensure a uniform approach.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy or interventions, including psychosocial assessments and screening for co-occurring disorders.
• Establish therapeutic relationships with clients by engaging, de-escalating, and managing crises.
• Document and report all necessary information in accordance with established policies and procedures.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Master’s degree program in counseling, psychology, or social work.
• Ability to assess and prioritize client treatment needs and collaborate effectively with a clinical team.
• Excellent customer service skills and enthusiasm for the program and organization.
• Commitment to maintaining annual training and licensing requirements and demonstrating competency in required programmatic training.
