About the role#
As a Field Technical Advisor Intern, you will provide technical support and counsel for well stimulation services. You will work directly with engineering, operations, and safety teams to ensure projects meet design and quality standards. This role requires on-site presence and the ability to manage a demanding workload in an oil and gas environment.
What you'll do#
- Ensure operations comply with management directives, policies, and safety procedures.
- Assist with pre-job rig up, material inventory, and equipment layout reviews.
- Conduct daily safety and operations audits, then review your findings with the crew.
- Monitor injection rates, pressures, and real-time well stimulation performance.
- Collect and test customer fluid samples to determine the correct mix for each job.
- Analyze technical, operational, and geological issues on-site and advise customer representatives on solutions.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance schedules.
- Submit post-job assessments, evaluations, and technical reports.
- Handle administrative tasks, including maintaining files and processing paperwork.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Proficiency in higher-level mathematics and scientific principles.
- Ability to draft clear technical reports.
- Experience using sophisticated computer software for job functions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with personnel and vendors.
- Physical ability to climb stairs and maintain a demanding, full-time schedule.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions.
- Fluency in English.
