About the role#
This internship takes place in our San Francisco studio during the winter of 2027. You will work on buildings, interiors, landscapes, and city-scale plans. You will sketch, model, test ideas, and present them. We are a studio of 120 designers within a larger firm. You will work across architecture, interiors, landscape, and urban design. We prioritize design that uses healthier materials and lowers carbon footprints.
What you'll do#
- Build physical and digital models.
- Work on BIM deliverables in Revit.
- Use SketchUp and Rhino for modeling.
- Create physical models using cardboard, foam, and 3D printers.
- Develop design ideas through sketching and drawing.
- Participate in design reviews and charrettes.
- Support project phases including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
- Produce graphics and visuals for presentations, proposals, and client interviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, urban design, or related design program.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and a desire to solve design problems.
- Ability to collaborate and show up prepared.
- Comfort with 3D modeling, 2D drafting, visualization, and graphic software.
- Experience with Revit.
- Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience with Rhino or SketchUp.
