About the role#
This summer internship provides support to the construction engineering team. You will work on a seasonal basis to assist engineers with the location, design, and inspection of various projects. This role includes both office and field work, and your tasks will be subject to regular review and direction.
What you'll do#
- Assist construction engineers with the design, location, or inspection of engineering projects.
- Help with construction inspection, field measurements, and the quantification of project items.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, maps, and inspection reports.
- Participate in design and construction engineering projects.
- Complete departmental documentation and administrative tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent certificate.
- Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior in a post-secondary program.
- A major in Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- You must be at least eighteen years of age.
- A valid driver’s license.
