About the role#
The Navigation Research and Development Division at the Applied Research Laboratory is looking for Undergraduate or Graduate students to join our team in Warminster, Pennsylvania. This co-op position supports research, development, and engineering activities related to navigation technologies. You will work alongside scientists and engineers on a variety of hands-on projects for our government sponsors.
What you'll do#
- Support laboratory operations for the development, testing, and evaluation of navigation systems.
- Design and build hardware to interface with specialized equipment and instrumentation.
- Program software to interface with equipment and to handle data logging and processing.
- Perform test fixture design, execute tests, and analyze the resulting data.
- Build practical skills in programming, electrical schematic drafting, solid modeling, hardware interfacing, and electrical fabrication.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an Undergraduate or Graduate student, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Availability to work on-site at the Warminster facility for a six-month period.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Eligibility to obtain a government security clearance.
- Willingness to participate in the Applied Research Laboratory drug testing program.
