About the role#
The Summer 2027 Actuarial Internship at Pacific Life offers students the opportunity to gain professional experience within the financial services industry. Interns participate in a variety of actuarial projects, engage in mentorship programs with company leadership, and attend rotational learning sessions covering areas such as modeling, risk management, product design, pricing, valuation, and reinsurance.
What you'll do#
- Participate in actuarial projects that contribute to team and company goals.
- Create dashboards to visualize data.
- Conduct Rider Analysis and Cash Flow Analysis.
- Develop tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Engage in professional development, networking, and community service events.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Actuarial Science.
- Completion of at least one Society of Actuaries exam.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and exhibit leadership.
- A desire to gain experience in the actuarial field.

- Location: Newport Beach, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: $26.00 to $29.00 per hour based on the number of actuarial exams passed.
- Relocation: A stipend is available for those residing outside a 50-mile radius of the office.
