Intern: Clinical Internship

About the role#

The Clinical Internship at Origami Rehabilitation provides hands-on experience in providing comprehensive rehabilitation services for children and adults. Interns work under the direction of a clinical instructor to support clients with neurological, developmental, mental health, and orthopedic conditions. This is an unpaid, on-site, full-time position with a rolling term.

What you'll do#

• Develop and administer treatment plans based on physician referrals and clinical assessments.
• Evaluate client progress, document findings, and maintain accurate records in client charts.
• Model professional behavior to maintain a positive and therapeutic environment.
• Communicate client progress to physicians, team members, and external stakeholders.
• Attend clinical reviews, family conferences, staff meetings, and training sessions.
• Assist with scheduling client visits and administrative tasks as directed by the clinical instructor.
• Contribute to the collection and analysis of clinical outcome data.

What you'll need#

• Currently attending or having completed an appropriate program in a relevant discipline, such as Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, or Biomedical Sciences.
• Knowledge of State of Michigan regulations regarding treatment and rehabilitation services.
• Ability to adhere to the ethical guidelines of your specific discipline.
• Experience or demonstrated capability in developing and implementing treatment plans.
• Strong communication skills for discussing client progress with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
