About the role#
The Marine Operations team is looking for a Process Automation Intern to help modernize planning workflows. You will focus on reducing manual email dependency and updating legacy tools within the Marine Operations Center. This role offers hands-on experience with data platforms and automation tools while contributing to operational efficiency and performance tracking.
What you'll do#
- Identify automation opportunities by reviewing current planning and reporting processes.
- Modernize legacy tools through optimization and automation.
- Streamline information intake to reduce reliance on manual email workflows.
- Centralize KPI monitoring and performance reporting systems.
- Improve data availability to support operational analysis.
- Document findings and recommendations in collaboration with project sponsors and stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or similar fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience or familiarity with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage project-based tasks independently.
- An interest in process improvement and data-driven decision-making.
Location & details#
- Location: South Jordan, Utah.
- Modality: On-site, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Commitment: Minimum 20 hours per week for at least 12 weeks.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship position.
