About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience with the systems, workflows, and creative processes behind visual storytelling. You will work alongside our Production and Marketing & Communications teams to learn how photo and video content moves from the field into an organized media library. You will shadow experienced media professionals and contribute to active projects while developing practical skills in digital asset management and content development.
What you'll do#
- Organize, tag, and upload photo and video assets from field projects, site visits, and global partners.
- Review and update existing media libraries to ensure visual content is accurately cataloged.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on new uploads and media ingestion.
- Generate and organize interview transcripts and related materials.
- Assist with photo and video editing, color correction, and quality assurance of finished materials.
- Participate in creative brainstorms to explore how content ideas align with campaign goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Film, Communications, Media Production, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- Familiarity with or interest in learning Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Canva.
- A basic understanding of file formats, media encoding, and digital content workflows.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to take initiative, collaborate, and follow guidance in a learning environment.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
Location & details#
- This role is remote.
- This is an unpaid internship.
- The term is rolling, with hours ranging from 10 to 20 per week aligned with the academic calendar.
- Academic credit may be available depending on your school requirements.
