The Strategy & Corporate Development Intern will help identify and evaluate long-term organic and inorganic growth opportunities for One Inc. You will own a dedicated project focused on solving real business challenges within the insurance, payments, and fintech ecosystems. This role involves sourcing potential acquisition targets, building investment theses, and supporting senior leadership with data-driven recommendations. The internship concludes with a final presentation on your project findings.
What you'll do#
- Source and research companies that align with One Inc’s strategic priorities, such as digital payments and tuck-in technology capabilities.
- Build and maintain market maps and landscapes, tracking funding, competitive moves, and key industry players.
- Conduct structured diligence, including analysis of business models, product capabilities, customer bases, and strategic fit.
- Support opportunity evaluation by refining market sizing, unit economics, and high-level financial or valuation analyses.
- Maintain pipelines and prioritization frameworks to focus on high-potential opportunities.
- Develop business cases for growth initiatives, documenting assumptions and methodology.
- Create lightweight dashboards to track opportunity pipelines and key performance metrics.
- Synthesize research and analysis into concise, executive-ready memos and presentations with clear recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA or relevant graduate program (e.g., MS in Finance, Economics, or Analytics).
- Prior experience in strategy, research, investment analysis, corporate development, consulting, or an adjacent role.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to turn ambiguous questions into structured analyses.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to build clean models, market maps, and professional presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A strong interest in the insurance payments ecosystem, business models, and competitive dynamics.
Location & details#
- Term: Summer 2026 (8–10 weeks).
- Modality: Remote (must be located in the US).
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
