    About the role#

    This position offers practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will perform pharmacy functions according to established procedures and gain the experience necessary to function effectively upon your future licensure. This is a part-time role with a rolling start date.

    What you'll do#

    • Prepare, label, and distribute pharmacy products while following department policy.
    • Review and interpret medication orders, performing necessary interventions under pharmacist supervision.
    • Handle billing, monitoring, and usage documentation to ensure accurate inventory and reimbursement.
    • Communicate with healthcare professionals and customers to provide information.
    • Assist in training technicians, externs, and other interns.
    • Participate in special projects as assigned.
    • Maintain a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in all daily tasks.

    What you'll need#

    • A High School Diploma or GED.
    • Active registration with The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern.
    • Active enrollment in a College of Pharmacy or, for international graduates, proof of passing the FPGEE and TSE or TOEFL-ibt.
    • An active intern license must be held prior to starting employment.

    Location & details#

    • This role is based in Columbus, Ohio, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
    • The work is on-site.
    • Shifts are scheduled around your school commitments, with full-time hours available during school breaks.
    • The retail pharmacy operates Monday through Friday, 8am to 7pm.
