About the role#
The Land Outreach Intern supports the land leasing process for solar and energy storage development projects. This role assists the Project Development team by identifying, researching, and engaging with prospective landowners to advance project development activities. This is a paid, full-time internship opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Identify and locate prospective landowners using research tools, public records, and online resources.
- Develop background profiles on properties and landowners to support land acquisition efforts.
- Contact landowners to introduce projects and facilitate discussions regarding potential lease opportunities.
- Conduct market and landowner research to support outreach strategies and project development.
- Organize outreach materials, track landowner communications, and maintain accurate project records.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations regarding research findings and outreach activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Geography, Political Science, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience or coursework in market research, analytics, renewable energy, or real estate is preferred.
- Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage professionally with stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively in a team.
