About the role#
The Land Outreach Intern supports the land leasing process for solar and energy storage development projects. This role assists the Project Development team with landowner outreach, market research, data management, and strategic planning to advance project development activities.
What you'll do#
- Use research tools, public records, and online resources to identify prospective landowners and gather information on potential project sites.
- Develop background profiles on landowners and properties to support land acquisition efforts.
- Contact landowners to introduce OCI Energy projects and facilitate discussions regarding potential lease opportunities.
- Conduct market and landowner research to support land outreach strategies and project development efforts.
- Assist with organizing outreach materials, tracking landowner communications, and maintaining accurate project records.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Geography, Political Science, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience or coursework in market research, analytics, renewable energy, or real estate is preferred.
- Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage professionally with a variety of stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
