    About the role#

    Ocean is offering a paid internship for students in industrial mechanics, maintenance mechanics, or related fields. This role involves working 40 hours per week under the supervision of experts on real construction and repair projects. Equipment is provided, and the position includes training in health, safety, and the environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Learn industrial mechanics for naval construction and repair.
    • Maintain, disassemble, and reassemble mechanical components.
    • Read technical plans, diagrams, and manuals.
    • Use mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools.
    • Assist mechanics with diagnostic work and preventive maintenance.
    • Work with multidisciplinary teams including production, engineering, and welding.
    • Perform general maintenance tasks like cleaning, adjustments, and inspections.
    • Support activities related to the health, safety, and environmental management system.

    What you'll need#

    • Current or completed training in industrial mechanics, maintenance mechanics, or a related field.
    • A strong desire to learn and apply new knowledge.
    • Experience with manual or outdoor work.
    • Ability to work well within a team.
    • High level of motivation and punctuality.

    • Location: Les Méchins, Quebec, Canada.
