About the role#
Oberg Industries offers a Co-Op program for high school juniors and seniors, as well as college students with a relevant declared major. This position provides hands-on experience in manufacturing through a rotation across multiple departments. You will work on-site in a temperature-controlled environment.
What you'll do#
- Shadow employees to learn manufacturing practices, procedures, and functions.
- Rotate through different departments on a monthly or tri-monthly basis for diverse training.
- Assist with documentation relevant to your experience.
- Keep your work area clean and orderly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Basic math skills.
- Effective communication skills, whether written or verbal.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, earplugs, a respirator, and safety shoes.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
- Ability to stand, sit, or bend for 4 to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted.
