DGX Cloud Kubernetes Runtime Intern - Fall 2026

About the role#

Join the DGX Cloud Kubernetes Runtime team as a Software Engineering Intern to build GPU-accelerated Kubernetes runtime distributions. You will work alongside engineers to develop automation systems that install, upgrade, and manage cluster runtime packages for NVIDIA AI Accelerators, including GB200 and GB300 architectures. This role focuses on providing reliable, self-service infrastructure tools for developers and AI researchers.

What you'll do#

• Contribute to the runtime controller system managing the lifecycle of runtime packages across Kubernetes clusters.
• Build and maintain components of the runtime builder used to package, validate, and distribute GPU operators.
• Develop and test Kubernetes controllers, CRDs, and operators that automate runtime installation and upgrade operations.
• Create tooling and automation scripts to support runtime composition across various cloud providers and GPU architectures.
• Participate in code reviews to learn best practices for production-grade Kubernetes systems.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes through coursework, personal projects, or previous internships.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Go, Python, or Java.
• Understanding of core Kubernetes concepts, including pods, deployments, services, and namespaces.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
