About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in general contracting and construction management. You will work directly with our staff to gain insight into the daily operations of active construction projects. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Chicago.
What you'll do#
- Shadow Project Engineers and Superintendents on active job sites.
- Track, review, and distribute submittals.
- Document project progress through photos and maintain project files.
- Attend and record minutes for weekly Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings.
- Assist with the preparation of daily project reports and documentation.
- Track and distribute project changes.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration.
- A strong interest in the general contracting and construction management process.
- Ability to work on-site in our Chicago office.
- A desire to learn practical project operations.
