About the role#
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join the Command and Control Weapons Division. This internship provides an opportunity to develop technical competencies across various engineering specializations during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Work from engineering drawings and both written and verbal instructions.
- Operate related equipment and conduct tests, reporting data in a prescribed format.
- Perform calibration and alignment checks.
- Make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
- Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate STEM degree at an accredited college or university.
- Must be enrolled full-time for the Fall 2026 semester.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher is preferred.
- Previous internship or co-op experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, and participation in professional or community activities are preferred.
