About the role#
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join the Command and Control Weapons Division in Hollywood, Maryland. This position is part of a summer program designed to build engineering competencies through hands-on technical work.
What you'll do#
- Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- Operate related equipment and conduct tests while reporting data in a prescribed format.
- Perform calibration and alignment checks.
- Make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
- Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university, with plans to be enrolled full-time in Fall 2026.
- A major in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another STEM field.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher is preferred.
- Previous internship or co-op experience, leadership capabilities, and involvement in professional or extracurricular activities are preferred.

- The position is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
