About the role#
This Software Engineering Internship is part of the Defense Systems Intern Program within the Command and Control Weapons Division. You will gain experience in various engineering specializations while working on-site in Melbourne, Florida, during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Build, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, and systems.
- Follow engineering drawings and verbal or written instructions.
- Operate equipment and conduct tests, reporting your data in a specific format.
- Perform alignment and calibration checks.
- Make necessary adjustments, replacements, and modifications as directed.
- Prepare required solutions and compounds.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an undergraduate or graduate STEM degree program at an accredited college or university.
- Proof of full-time enrollment for the Fall 2026 semester.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
- U.S. citizenship, as you must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
- Previous internship or co-op experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
