About the role#
Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to join our Space Systems sector in Redondo Beach. This is a full-time summer internship for 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform a variety of duties across electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas.
- Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, and systems.
- Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- Operate related equipment and conduct tests.
- Report data in a prescribed format.
- Perform calibration and alignment checks.
- Make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
- Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
- Must be enrolled full-time for the Fall 2027 semester.
- Major in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite.
- An overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher is preferred.
