About the role#
This is an 8-10 week internship program based in our Kansas City office. You will work on real projects and gain exposure to the development process. You will work alongside licensed Landscape Architects and Professional Planners to build your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, and surveyors.
- Design for industrial, data center, multifamily, and retail projects.
- Create site plans, master plans, preliminary grading, and landscape designs.
- Build 3D visualizations and graphic presentations.
- Update project design, entitlement, and permitting submittal documents.
- Communicate design concepts to municipalities and contractors.
- Report recommendations for creating usable spaces and revitalizing abandoned properties.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a degree in landscape architecture, urban planning, real estate, or a related field.
- Motivation to work with a team to solve design problems.
- Ability to use problem-solving skills to address new challenges.
- Eagerness to learn or expand skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, LandFX, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling software.
