About the role#
Norfolk Iron and Metal is looking for a Finance Intern to join our Corporate Headquarters. You will work alongside our Corporate Finance team to gain hands-on experience with real accounting operations. This program runs from January 2027 through August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Process, match, and code vendor invoices.
- Support accounts payable check processing and payment distribution.
- Help with month-end close procedures and account reconciliations.
- Learn to operate our new ERP system.
- Gain exposure to accounting processes across various business locations and entities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Accounting, Finance, Business, or related degree program.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A motivated and dependable approach to gaining hands-on experience.
