Software Quality Assurance Coop

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid Software Quality Assurance Coop position for the Fall 2026 term (September 2026 – December 2026). You will work on-site in Sunnyvale, California, contributing to the development and testing of high-performance networking solutions, including terabit speed routers and data center virtualization technologies.

What you'll do#

• Gain hands-on experience with industry-leading routing, switching, and mobile core technologies.
• Contribute to product codebases or automation harnesses using C, C++, Python, and Tcl.
• Work on customer testbeds utilizing traffic generators and protocol emulators.
• Collaborate with teams building and testing advanced networking hardware.
• Utilize DevOps tools such as git and Nagios.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related field at an accredited university.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Solid programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
• Knowledge of basic networking concepts, including the OSI model and TCP/IP.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
