About the role#
As a Business Strategy Intern on the Revenue Acceleration team, you will work on strategic projects for our leadership team. You will cover pricing, monetization, and competitive strategy across the payments and fintech industry. This is a paid, full-time summer internship running 11 to 13 weeks. You will have direct exposure to senior leadership and a dedicated mentor while working on projects that impact our business.
What you'll do#
- Analyze pricing and monetization approaches across the payments and fintech industry to develop practical recommendations for NMI.
- Research the competitive landscape, including product strategy, packaging, go-to-market approach, and AI capabilities.
- Use AI tools, including agentic and generative AI, to research, analyze data, build models, and create deliverables.
- Build business cases and financial models to help leadership evaluate strategic opportunities.
- Create reusable assets, such as competitive trackers and comparison frameworks, for the team to maintain.
- Turn your analysis into executive-ready briefs and presentations, refining them with input from cross-functional stakeholders.
- Present your findings and recommendations to the executive team at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Returning to school after the internship.
- Prior professional experience, such as a previous internship or part-time role.
- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills.
- Clear, structured written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence when presenting to senior audiences.
- A genuine interest in payments, pricing, and strategy.
- Experience in consulting, banking, corporate strategy, or fintech is preferred.
- Experience with business intelligence tools, especially Tableau, is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a remote internship based in the United States.
- The program runs during Summer 2027.
- Working hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, in your local time zone.
- We prefer candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones.
- The hourly pay rate is $25 to $35 USD, depending on experience and qualifications.
