About the role#
Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is hiring an Engineering Intern I to work at our facility in Santa Ana, California. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position with a rolling start date. You will work directly with our production team and engineers to support manufacturing operations.
What you'll do#
- Create pictorial work instructions for assemblies and various processes.
- Draft and revise Bills of Operations.
- Design simple tooling and fixtures for the shop floor.
- Develop rework travelers for parts that do not meet specifications.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve facility layout, workflow, and material flow.
- Work alongside operators to observe and refine production processes.
- Use Lean Six Sigma methodology to improve manufacturing efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing engineering and mechanical design principles.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- High attention to detail.
