About the role#
We are looking for Mechanical or Electrical Engineering students to join our team for a summer internship. You will work alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams in our manufacturing environment. This role focuses on supporting production, technical analysis, and projects that improve quality and efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering, manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Use CAD software like NX or SolidWorks to develop and refine designs.
- Assist in creating and releasing engineering drawings and documentation.
- Conduct engineering calculations and research to support design decisions.
- Prepare for and support testing activities, including data collection and analysis.
- Collaborate with the team to improve processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a recognized post-secondary Mechanical or Electrical Engineering program.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles, design processes, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with engineering and design software like Siemens NX, AutoCAD, or similar CAD platforms.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Previous manufacturing, production, co-op, internship, laboratory, or engineering-related experience is an asset.
