About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience with industrial processing equipment in our Grinding and Dispersing Application Center. You will work alongside engineers and the Application Center Manager to support customer trials, sample preparation, and daily lab operations. This role is a chance to see how technical testing and data collection function in a real industrial environment.
What you'll do#
- Set up, operate, and clean Application Center equipment under supervision.
- Prepare customer materials and test samples.
- Observe testing processes, record data, and document results.
- Perform basic measurements including particle size, viscosity, density, and stability.
- Organize supplies, tools, sample containers, and storage areas.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and labeling lab materials.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
- Interact with team members and support customer-facing trials and demonstrations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program for engineering, chemistry, materials science, or a related technical field.
- Interest in hands-on technical work, equipment operation, and problem solving.
- Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and communicate clearly.
- Comfort working in a lab or industrial testing environment.
- Prior lab or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
